I have always loved scented candles, there is something so remarkable about the ability of the perfect combination of fragrance notes to transport you to a specific place or memory. In 2019, I started dabbling in candle-making, first as a hobby and then I formalized Fiddlehead into it’s own small business to collaborate with Collyer’s Mansion, a home decor boutique in Brooklyn Heights, to create scents for their customer base.
Fiddlehead is a Brooklyn-based candle company that hand pours clean-burning soy candles featuring robust and evocative fragrance blends. I have a penchant towards herbaceous, smoky, and savory fragrances, and my candles tend to conjure moodiness, coziness, and maybe just a hint of enchantment.
Fiddlehead candles are made with all natural soy wax, a blend of essential and premium phthalate free fragrance oils, and wooden wicks, and are poured by hand in small batches into BPA and lead-free painted recycled glass containers and topped with a tapered cork lid.
